I don’t know about growing up.
This is a big one. I could argue that this entire blog will be about not knowing about growing up, considering I am growing up-—as we all are— but especially as a 23-year old with no clue about anything.
I don’t even know how to approach this, so I’m going to break it down in big-picture bullets with just a few words. More to come on all of these topics as this blog progresses.
Time
Management
Planning
Balancing time between “wants” and “needs”
Lack thereof
Romantic relationships
Adult relationship vs. college relationship
Real world problems vs. “I can’t hang out because I have homework” problems
Again, time.
Family
Going from relying on your family as your crutch–> becoming a crutch for your family
And again, time. Now that you don’t live with them, you need to make time.
Home responsibilities
Ugh.
Making time to clean the toilet
FOMO
’nuff said.
You
Discovering yourself
Accepting your faults
Addressing your problems
Becoming comfortable with solitude
Making time for your interests/ hobbies…. if you’ve even figured out what those are yet
Growing up
Thinking any of these things mentioned above are abnormal and problematic instead of just acknowledging these things as growing pains
